Car Free Day is back in Port Coquitlam! On Saturday, September 6, 2025, downtown PoCo will once again transform into a lively, car-free celebration of community, sustainability, and local culture. Hosted on McAllister Avenue, this free, family-friendly event runs from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and features live performances, food trucks, activities for kids, local vendors, and much more.

Where: McAllister Avenue, Downtown Port Coquitlam
Hours: 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
McAllister Avenue will be completely closed to cars, giving you the chance to explore the street safely on foot, by bike, or even with strollers and scooters.

Over 100 booths will line McAllister Ave with artisans, local businesses, non-profits, and community groups. It’s the perfect chance to support local and discover what’s happening around the city.
There will also be electric vehicle displays and sustainability-focused booths for anyone interested in eco-friendly living.

Free Bike Valet: Located at 2248 McAllister Avenue, open 12:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Provided by The Bicycle Valet. Securely park bikes, scooters, strollers, or even rollerblades.
